\nWeek 1 Journal Peds: Practicum Journal Entry
\nAs a future advanced practice nurse, it is important that you are
\nable to connect your didactic experience to your Practicum
\nexperience. By applying the concepts you study in the classroom
\nto clinical settings, you better prepare yourself for your future
\nprofessional career. Each week, you complete an assignment that
\nprompts you to reflect on your Practicum experiences and relate
\nthem to the material presented in the classroom.
\nTo prepare for this course\u2019s Practicum experience, address the
\nfollowing in your Practicum journal:
\nExplain what most excites and\/or concerns you about pediatric
\nclinical experiences. Include a description of your strengths and
\nweaknesses in terms of working with children and how these
\nstrengths and weaknesses might impact your Practicum
\nexperience.
\nSelect and explain a nursing theory to guide your practice with
\npediatric patients.
\nBased on your strengths, weaknesses, and theory of nursing
\npractice, develop goals and objectives for the Practicum
\nexperience in this course. Be sure to consider the NAPNAP
