\nThose students enrolled in on campus classes, will also
\nhave their test ONLINE. These students must discuss with
\ntheir lecturers:

\nstudents must bring a laptop to do their test
\nONLINE in the classroom environment.

\n\u2022 Off campus and ONLINE.
\nThe lecture Zoom link to convert the on campus class to an
\nOnline class for Week 6, is on the subject portal under
\n\u201cContacts\u201d, beside the lecturer\u2019s name.
\nDue Date:\tDuring the student\u2019s enrolled WEEK 6 class time and ONLINE
\nfor ALL students.
\n\u2022 Note: STAM4000 Week 6 Monday classes of Brisbane 1,
\nSydney 1, Online 1 class are rescheduled \u2013 these students
\nare asked to read their class Announcements for the
\nWeek 6 rescheduled class time.

\n1. Extra information
\n\u2022 ONE ATTEMPT PER STUDENT.
\n\u2022 Students must attend their enrolled class as test access is linked to the enrolled
\nclass list. Zoom link is on the subject portal under \u201cContacts\u201d.
\n\u2022 Students must be on time for their enrolled Week 6 class.
\n\u2022 There is a voluntary Webinar describing this test \u2013 students may check
\nAnnouncements for Webinar date\/time. The Webinar will be recorded and
\nrecording link posted in the announcements.
\n\u2022 Test is OPEN BOOK.
\n\u2022 Test is under Test conditions so NO communication between students \u2013 any
\ncheating will be penalised with a formal Academic Misconduct.
\nOnly work submitted during test time is marked.
\n\u2022 The Practice Quiz is NOT marked.
\nAssessment Description and weighting:
\nDuration: 1 hours and 30 minutes = 90 minutes
\nTotal marks = 35

\nIf a student does not have a working camera on their laptop, they are EXPECTED to join the
\nZoom also on their mobile phone for the camera.
\nThe camera must be ON THE STUDENT FOR THE ENTIRE TEST.
\nTEST IS DONE ONLINE AND UNDER TEST CONDITIONS.
\nANY STUDENT WHO:
\n\u2022 LEAVES THE SCREEN WITHOUT NOTICE
\n\u2022 HAS THEIR CAMERA OFF FOR ANY PERIOD
\n\u2022 IS SEEN TO BE TALKING ON THE SCREEN
\n\u2022 USE THER MOBILE PHONE FOR A CONVERSATION DURING THE TEST
\nWILL HAVE THEIR STUDENT NUMBER AND ENROLLED NAME RECORDED, WITH DETAILS
\nSENT TO THE KBS Academic Integrity Officer for a formal record of misconduct during a test.
\nSTAM4000 Mid-Trimester Test T1 2022
\nThe lecturer will be invigilating or supervising the entire Mid-Trimester Test.
\n\u2022 When the test is to start, the lecturer will use the Chat function of Zoom to send all
\nstudents the test password.
\n\u2022 The student then has 90 minutes to complete the test, in class, video on etc.
\nAny student wanting to leave the test because they finished early must:
\n\u2022 Communicate this to their lecturer via chat
\n\u2022 Submit the test
\n\u2022 Stay on the Zoom until the lecturer has noted that the test has been submitted
\n\u2022 The lecturer will then notify the student that they have permission to leave the test
\nearly.
\nCommunication during the Online Week 6 test is done via the Chat function of Zoom only.
\nLocation: During Week 6 class time, and ONLINE for ALL students
\n\u2022 Note: STAM4000 Week 6 Monday classes Brisbane 1, Sydney 1, Online 1 are
\nrescheduled \u2013 Monday students are asked to read their class Announcements for
\ntheir Week 6 rescheduled class time.
\n2. Unable to sit the Week 6 Mid-Trimester Test during the student\u2019s enrolled class:
\nAny student who cannot attend their Week 6 class, is asked to fill in a Special Consideration
\nform and email this to their campus Student Experience Team, within 3 days of their Week 6
\nclass, explaining, with supporting documentation, the reason why they cannot sit their test
\nin their enrolled time.
\nAdministration will review the Special Consideration Form and decide whether to transfer
\nthe weight of that assessment to the Final Assessment. Otherwise, the student scores 0 for
\nthat test.
\n3. Hints on what to study for the Week 6 Test:
\n\u2022 Try the Practice Quiz, under Assessments, Mid-Trimester Test, Practice Quiz.
\nMultiple attempts of the Practice Quiz are allowed and solutions per attempt are
\ngiven to students.
\n\u2022 Study Lectures 1 to 5, inclusive \u2013 best to summarise these.
\n\u2022 Watch Webinar of Mid-Trimester Test, link will be posted on the subject portal
\nunder \u201cRecordings\u201d.
\n\u2022 Redo lecture examples and supplementary exercises- solutions are on the portal

\n\u2022 Mid-Trimester Test difficulty is like the Practice Quiz and Supplementary
\nExercises, but the Mid-Trimester Test questions will be different.

\n4. What you need for the Test:
\n\u2022 Must be done on a PC or MAC \u2013 if your campus is open, you can use a KBS computer
\nto do the test during your class time, you will need headphones.
\n\u2022 Cannot use a mobile phone, cannot use a tablet, cannot use an iPad

\n\u2022 Use Google Chrome or Firefox as your Web Browser (no Safari or Internet Explorer,
\nplease)
\n\u2022 Note: Apple devices have Safari as the default web browser. Change this to
\nChrome or Firefox \u2013 KBS online assessment does NOT work well with Safari or
\nInternet Explorer.
\n\u2022 Must have access to STAM4000 subject portal and good internet connection; if
\nneeded, hotspot your phone or go to a location with good internet access for the
\ntest.
\n\u2022 Your own lecture notes\/summaries\/scrap paper etc. Note: You CANNOT share your
\nnotes during the test with another student.
\n\u2022 Bring your own calculator to the Test. Your calculator should have a power function
\nand a square root function. If you do not have a calculator, you may use a mobile
\nphone as a calculator or an online calculator.
\n\u2022 NOTE: ANY STUDENT CAIGHT TAKING PHOTOS OF THE TEST WILL HAVE AN
\nACADEMIC MISCONDUCT FORM SUBMITTED.
