\nThis assignment is designed to assess students\u2019 knowledge and skills related to the
\nfollowing learning outcomes:
\nd. Analyse and report on the current and future state of the internetworking
\ninfrastructure and its applications.
\ne. Implement a process to support the administration and management of
\ninternetworking.
\nWeight 20% of the total assessments
\nTotal Marks 50
\nWord limit 1000 (approximately 4 pages)
\nDue Date Week 11, Friday 28th September 2018 – submit a report on Moodle, demonstration
\nof the design in Week 11 lab class.

\n\uf0b7 All work must be submitted on Moodle by the due date along with a Title Page.
\n\uf0b7 The assignment must be in MS Word format, 1.5 spacing, 11-pt Calibri (Body) font
\nand 2.54 cm margins on all four sides of your page with appropriate section
\nheadings.
\n\uf0b7 Reference sources must be cited in the text of the report, and listed appropriately
\nat the end in a reference list using IEEE referencing style.
\nExtension \uf0b7 If an extension of time to submit work is required, a Special Consideration
\nApplication must be submitted directly to the School’s Administration Officer, in
\nMelbourne on Level 6 or in Sydney on Level 7. You must submit this application

\nAssignment Description
\nProject Scope: A typical network layout diagram of a firm is given below for illustrative purposes only. The
\nservice requirements are enclosed.
\nService requirements
\n1. 5 departments with 5 subnets. Only admin, HR and the finance department will have all the access
\nto the services available. Engineering and sales have access to the print server and file server but not
\nto the finance department.
\n2. IP network design
\n3. Hardware requirements with costs specification
\n4. Configuration details on the hardware (Routers and Switches)
\nReport requirements: The report should have a detail explanation of the planning and designing of the
\nnetwork. It is recommended that bullet points are only included whenever necessary.
