\nThis assignment gives you an opportunity to examine how a public health organization puts a public health theory or model into action through their efforts to improve public health.
\nIn this assignment, you will:<\/p>\n
Study how a public health organization is currently working to address a public health issue.
\nApply the appropriate theory or model\u00a0to deepen your understanding of how the organization works to improve public health for their constituents.
\nConnect what you have read in scholarly journals about a current public health issue to the real-world challenges faced by organizations working to make a positive difference in the field of public health.<\/p>\n
Instructions<\/p>\n
Select a public health issue and describe the impact of a current public health issue\u00a0in your community. Be sure to cite your sources for the impact information you provide.
\nIdentify an organization that is currently working on this public health issue in your local community. Do some background investigation of their activities:<\/p>\n
Visit the organization\u2019s Web site and Facebook page or other social media.
\nSearch the library to find out if there are any published studies referencing the organization.<\/p>\n
Identify and apply a \u00a0theory or a model (at the community level) and determine how well it aligns with the interventions the organization is currently using.
\nUse your theory or model to explain how the various activities of the organization will help improve public health for their constituents. In your explanation, provide examples\u00a0that demonstrate how the theory or model does or does not support their activities.
\nUsing an appropriate theory or model, propose several recommendations for the organization to improve the outcomes for their constituents. Support your recommendations with the literature, Remember to use APA format and style to cite your sources.<\/p>\n

Page count: Your assignment must contain a minimum of three double-spaced pages (not including cover and reference pages).
\nFont: Times New Roman, 12 point.
\nAPA formatting: Resources and citations are formatted according to APA style and formatting.
