\nThis assessment requires you to prepare a modelling report that demonstrates your ability to
\nassess business requirements along with a logical design that could be implemented in a
\nrelational database management system.
\nContext
\nWhen preparing to implement a new information system, it is essential that the initial design
\nis well thought out from the outset. Modifying the database after implementation can often
\nbe an expensive process in terms of time, effort and cost. Often the first engagement step is
\nto conduct interviews and workshops with end users and business subject matter experts to
\nget a better understand of how the business runs. The output of these workshops becomes
\nthe foundation for the database design.

\nTask Instructions
\nPlease read the attached MIS602_Assessment 1_Case Study.
\nBased on the information provided in the case study, prepare a modelling report to answer
\nthe following tasks:
\nTask 1: An entity relationship diagram including all the significant entities, attributes
\nand their relationships. Use Crow\u2019s foot notation.
\nTask 2: A relational model showing all fields, primary keys, foreign keys and
\nconcatenated keys. Your relational model should be in third normal form. List any
\nassumptions\/business rules you have made.
\nTask 3: A sample dummy input screen of scheduling an interview for one of the
\nshortlisted candidates. You have to make sure all the data requirements are being
\ncaptured.
\nYou may use any tool you like to create this sample screen. Write a brief paragraph
\nof about 200 words discussing the following:
\n? Does your database design allow the storage of all the required
\ninformation?
\n? What changes, if any, did you make to your initial ER diagram and relational
\nmodel after you created the sample input screen?
\nThe front-end or user interface design enables accessing the data stored in a database.
\nPrototyping the interface also enables capturing initial system and data requirements.
